  • While the Google Currents app is available in beta currently, G Suite users can also request early access for the new app. On the other hand, G Suite users will also have an option to transfer all their data as well as posts, apart from personal posts on Google+, to Google Currents app once users register themselves for the beta version of the app.

Google announced the launch of Google Currents for both Android and iOS on Thursday. Currents is a news aggregation app that pulls togeher content from more than 180 publications, Google+ streams.

Originally called Google+ for G Suite, Currents is the sole remnant of Google's defunct social network Google+, which the company shut down entirely for personal and brand use on April 2, 2019.[6][7]

As of June 2020, Google Currents is in Public Beta for Google Workspace Clients. A free trial can be requested.[8][9][10]
